semijocund@livejournal.com BioWhat do you want to know? I don't keep much secret. I finished my BA in Philosophy from U of M and started working on my MA in Religious Studies focused on gender and sexuality. I noticed I was skipping class to take photos...so I've switched to studying photography.
For the time being, I work for a great company that sells stuff online. It's small enough that I know just about everyone that works here but large enough that we all have our own space. I don't make a lot of money and I don't love what I do, but it pays the bills and I don't mind it.
I want to work in photography...I just don't know doing what yet. Any reason to pick up a camera is a good one.
I'm very easily amused. Seriously, it's actually kinda scary.
I love to debate (as in logic & philosophy) but not argue, so I love intelligent comments back.
When it comes to movies, I tend to enjoy romantic comedies (yes, I can be a sap) or anything with a good plot line. I'm a reality TV whore, but also spend a lot of time on Discovery Health or any of the other vaguely scientific/educational channels out there. As for music, I'm pretty varried in my taste. I'm currently going through an "unknown" band phase, where it seems everyone I like, most people haven't heard of.
Politically, I tend to be considered liberal, but personally I see myself as a conservative (and somewhat lazy) hippie.
I have a lot of great friends that I don't get to spend nearly enough time with. I'm also bad when it comes to tracking down people. If you want to see me, call me or drop me a message. Otherwise I'll probably forget.
Speaking of forgetting, I have a terrible short term memory. I can tell you what I was doing 10 years ago but not 10 minutes ago.
I'm also really bad at spelling. I'd like to think I'm intelligent, however I have a very low tolerance for academia and people who think they're better then others.
Immaturity also ranks low on my list of attributes I can put up with. I have a very short attention span for people that are narrow minded, immature and/or hateful.
It takes a lot to piss me off. Really, a lot. Very few people have ever been able to seriously piss me off. However, once you do, it takes a lot for me to forget it.
There you go, a quick breakdown of me and my current situation. My journal is mostly open, but I do friendslock some stuff I don't feel comfortable sharing with the random web surfer. Lately my posts have been mostly random, but I think that's mainly a reflection of my daily life.
